While working with various Companies and clients, my teams and I came across design challenges that extended beyond the digital screen. We had to learn quick, leverage experts, collaborate to deliver, and build frameworks to apply to these problems so we could scale quickly and setup different revenue streams for the studio. These multidisciplinary projects were shaping the future of industries and needed us to think like imagineers, philosophers, anthropologists, scientists, designers, and engineers.
Define an overarching theme and sub-themes for the six initiatives (Aerial, Housing, Business, MICE, Entertainment, Innovation) to position Addis Ababa as a high value-adding, multi-hub capital city for Africa.
Develop aspirational concepts and innovations for each of the initiatives by integrating Ethiopia's rich culture and legacy with futuristic technology.
The shopping district was once a major tourist destination. However, with time it, lost its relevance due to lack of unique offerings and an inability to connect with the digital generation. New malls and experiences were engaging more effectively which resulted in a decline in tourism in the region.
The objective was to come up with a strategy and a concept that would help bring back its lost glory, re-establish itself as a major tourist destination as well as increase footfall.
The objective was to make Rukus Avenue a globally recognised brand, grow its reach, and leverage technology and design to build new streams of revenue.
We grew this artist management company into the largest south asian radio/podcast station, launched an online ticketing platform, setup an entire content studio, and crafted strategic partnerships with influencers and brands, in order to deliver on our promise of growth.
We were working with a client in the Middle East region to create the future of family entertainment, as part of the strategy for modernizing an entire nation.
The case team had come up with some ideas right out of the pages of a sci-fi book, but they knew that these could be converted into reality with the right approach and investment. To convince the clients, they needed a way to visualize their vision – they turned to us to bring their thoughts to life.
We were helping one of the largest banks in Africa go through a digital transformation, in order to adopt technology to personalise the banking experience, and grow their footprint in Africa. One of the key levers for achieving their goals was the creation of new team which would focus on digitizing the existing customer experiences and bringing personalisation to each client.
We had to create a space of this digital team to work from, create a brand identity system for the division, design their office space to maximise productivity and collaborations (scrum and war rooms), and introduce and integrate the division in to the company with an internal communication strategy.
We worked with the case team to transform slides into beautiful pages in an A5 booklet format. The design team went beyond the brief to added tabs and bookmarks for a more intuitive experience while using the handbook.
An interactive app based AR experience was created which blended the traditional PowerPoint presentation with an AR overlay which elevated the communication to the next level.
The ask was to create a city plan, ecosystem and an architectural concept that would bring out the 3 key pillars on which a city would be built: Creative, technology and community.
Our team conducted extensive research and delivered the concepts, architectural designs and city plans as part of a complete and elegant solution. The studio went a step further and created VR renderings of the concepts, delivering the “wow” factor that the client was looking for.
We proposed and executed the concept of a journey to the city, demonstrating how a visitor would come across and interact with media products at different points of interest.
The concept incorporated the idea of a mobile application that binds all of the media products together, guiding the visitor through various experiences in the city.
We created an entire campaign picking up the key highlights and data, and converted them into a series of infographic snippets.
These were then adapted into posters, mailer, social media posts and various other advertising collaterals to create awareness around the benefits of ride sharing.
